Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings at www.wildinghotel.co.uk or via The Wilding by telephone. When you make a booking, your contract (which shall include these terms and conditions) will be with Eden Barn Ltd, Swaledale House, Little Musgrave, Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, CA17 4PQ. Reg in England no: 10899739. (Referred to in these terms and conditions as The Wilding).

Rack rates

Rack rates require a valid credit or debit card number to secure the reservation at the time of booking. Cancellations or amendments must be made more than 7 days prior to arrival to avoid fees. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to arrival will be charged 100% of the total cost. All pre-payments towards any reservation are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Advanced Purchase Pre-Payments

Advance Purchase rates require full non-refundable, non-transferable payment at time of booking. Amendments are not possible. Any cancellations will be charged at 100% of the total cost.

Dinner, Bed & Breakfast

Dinner, bed and breakfast rates are based on two people sharing and includes breakfast and dinner (drinks, side orders and snacks are not included).

Deposits

If your stay requires a deposit, this will require a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of £80.00 per room at the time of booking. One date change can be made and must be made more than 7 days prior to arrival (please note, date changes will be subject to the rates available on the new dates selected). Cancellations more than 7 days prior to arrival will incur a loss of any deposit paid. For cancellations less than 7 days prior to arrival or in the case of non-arrival, you will be charged 100% of the total cost.

Group bookings will require a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of £80.00 per room at the time of booking. Cancellations more than 21 days prior to arrival will incur a loss of any deposit paid. For cancellations less than 21 days prior to arrival or in the case of non-arrival, you will be charged 100% of the total cost.

Cancellations

In the unlikely event that we need to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. However, you have the right to: accept the changed arrangements as notified; or make alternative arrangements with The Wilding; or cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies which you have paid to The Wilding in respect of your reservation (please note that we shall not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons/parties in connection with your reservation).

For the avoidance of doubt, we shall have no further liability to you for any changes to or the cancellation of any online booking. We recommend you purchase travel insurance.

Prior to Arrival

On the day of arrival, your card will be charged with the remaining balance for your booking (where applicable).

Check-out / Final Payment

On check-out, a copy of your final bill will be emailed over to you and charges made to your card.

On Arrival

Guests are required to show a photo identification and credit card upon check-in.

Pricing

All prices are per room in £’s (unless otherwise stated). All prices include VAT at the current prevailing rate. Prices are subject to change without notice; we reserve the right to alter your rate should a mistake be identified.

Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained online, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured online at any time. What the price includes: website prices include super king / twin bedroom, king bedroom, double bedroom and suites, colour TV and ensuite bathroom. Meals as outlined in the rate details.

Prices shown on-line are not valid in conjunction with any other offer and until you receive your confirmation number are subject to change without prior notice.

Best Rate Guarantee. We always offer the best rates if you book direct. You will not find a cheaper B&B rate with The Wilding anywhere else. We sometimes offer special dinner, bed and breakfast deals with a third party, but there will always be a B&B or other offer available which matches or is cheaper than that rate.

Accommodation Offers

From time to time, The Wilding will offer special accommodation rates. The offers are subject to availability, cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and are limited to stays within a specific date range. All accommodation offers are only available on new bookings and on a very limited number of bedrooms.

Money Back Guarantee

We guarantee the best bed & breakfast rate, when you book directly with The Wilding. If you find a better rate on the day of booking on any of our affiliate partner’s websites, (proof must be supplied by you) we will refund the difference upon prior agreement.

Availability

Availability of rooms at the rates shown online may be limited and/or restricted to certain periods.

Children

Children ages 2-15 sharing a room with 2 full paying adults will be charged a maximum of £25.00 per child per night. This rate includes breakfast. All children’s evening meals are charged as taken from either the children’s menu or the restaurant menu.

Dogs

The Wilding has one specific ground floor double room which can accommodate one dog and will be prepared before arrival with a dog bed and bowls. The charge is £20 per night, please contact the reception team for availability. Dogs must be well behaved, aged 1 year and older, and are allowed in your room and in the grounds (on a lead) but not in the main building or our restaurant; they are the full responsibility of their owners. Please use the ‘dog in room’ hanger provided in your room, so our teams are aware and will not enter.

Car Parking

Car parking is free at The Wilding. Please note guests using the car parks do so at their own risk. The management do not accept liability for damage to, or theft of motor vehicles or their contents. Guests are required to park in an orderly manner.

Checking In and Out & Arrival and Departure

Rooms are normally available from 3:00pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 10:30am on the day of departure, unless otherwise sanctioned at the discretion of the manager.

Meal Arrangements

Those rates which include breakfast offer a full traditional or continental breakfast with tea or coffee. Those rates which include dinner offer a choice from the provided menu. There is no refund for meals which are not taken by guests.

Smoking

There is strictly no smoking or vaping in The Wilding.

Damages

Any damage incurred by you or your party during your visit or stay at The Wilding is chargeable.

Malicious or irresponsible behaviour which causes unnecessary damage to The Wilding's property will be charged accordingly. A £100 cleaning fee will be charged in non-standard circumstances, as well as covering the costs of employee housekeeping and maintenance wages for the extra time required to clean and repair. Damaged fabrics, textiles and tangible items will be charged individually to replace them. Professional cleaning services may also be required and will be charged back to the guest. If the bedroom is taken out of service, a charge for loss of revenue will also be charged.

Guests will be notified of the charges and said charges will be applied to the credit card which was used to pay for the bedroom. Further charges may apply if any additional complications arise which are directly linked to the damage caused.

Missing or stolen items

If any items are missing from your room or visit, we will charge accordingly.

Valuables

There is a personal safe in all rooms and suites; however, The Wilding is not able to accept responsibility for your valuables. We advise you not to leave valuables in your car. Please note that we are not held responsible for loss or damage of valuables or the car.

Special Requirements / Requests

Please advise The Wilding of any special dietary needs or other requirements, including mobility issues you may have, prior to arrival. Whilst every effort is made to fulfil special requests (including, but not limited to, room numbers or locations and extended check-in and check-out times), unfortunately, we cannot guarantee these and failure to do so will not constitute a breach of contract. Special requests will only be able to be confirmed to you on arrival at the hotel.

Complaints or Comments

Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at The Wilding should be made in the first instance to the manager at the time of your stay so that all reasonable efforts can be made to resolve the situation at the time. Problems which cannot be resolved there and then should be notified in writing to The Manager.

Third party suppliers

Elements of your break may include service supplied by third parties. Such third-party suppliers will have their own set of Terms and Conditions relating to the services they provide. You should consult any third-party Terms and Conditions soon after making a booking if your break includes such items.

Accuracy of Details

While we have tried to ensure that all information we provide is accurate, we cannot accept responsibility if this is not the case. Please do remember that facilities may alter from time to time, and The Wilding cannot be held responsible for any changes that occur or any errors or omissions in respect of the information. Liability is therefore excluded for any loss of expense incurred further to reliance upon such information.

Privacy Policy and Security

Your privacy and security are important to The Wilding when visiting our website. The Wilding will not loan, rent or sell your personal details to any third parties without your prior consent and will comply with all data protection legislation in force from time to time with regard to the treatment of any data it collects using the website.

General Information

The Wilding shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, war, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.

For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to attempt to exclude or limit the Company's liability for the death or personal injury of any person caused by the negligence of the Company or its employees, servants or agents or to attempt to exclude or limit the Company's liability in any manner which would be unlawful.

These Terms and Conditions are subject to English Law and any dispute in relation to them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
